If you load in win/xp or win/xp/pro it wants to see wnother windows installed in your machine before the upgrade winxp-pro will do anything. In fact on the winxp/pro upgrade disk (about $175) it states right on the side of the box you must have at least win98-se already installed for the upgrade to install.
